Somewhat tainted by disco (as, among many others, the Rolling stones and Kiss had that same year: remember Miss you and I was made for lovin’ you? This is especially obvious in the title song and Wish I were born in Beverly Hills, but it appears in other places as well.
The quiet room and How you gonna see me now are beautiful ballads. Pompous and overblown, but that is to be expected with dear Alice. Millie and Billie is a love ballad sung by two patients: You’re the one that I want on Prozac. Inmates (we’re all crazy) sums it up then: not unlike We’re not gonna take it, the last track on Tommy by the Who. A good album, but not his best. At the same time, likeing does does not actually mean you'll like his best albums like Billion dollar babies.
