John Mayer – Any given Thursday – 2003

… or any other day of the week, I would not listen to this.

Mr. John Mayer has taken the meaning of the concept of being overrated to a whole new level, possibly without being able to do anything about it. As music goes, the performance is mostly OK, but unless you are a fifteen year old boy or girl discovering your sexuality (but not yet knowing what to do with it), you do not need it. It may not be harmful but it won’t get you anywhere. The singing is bland, but trying to sound "interesting" because he’s constantly forcing his vocal chords. Supposedly this makes for sincerity, but unfortunately it makes me cringe. The song writing department may be most to blame however: this guy cannot compose a catchy song. Also, he cannot cover a song: his interpretation of Message in a bottle is pathetic. I'm sorry, boys and girls, but I have warned you.

I have read all of the information. It made me understand more. And earlier, I would not know anything about it yet.
